Monique,

In response to the following inquiry about To-Pro-3:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Recently there was a reference to a DNA labeling dye under the name
of To-Pro-3 (TP3). I am unfamiliar with this dye but find that it
may be one we can take advantage of.

I would appreciate it if someone would head me in the right direction
by providing me with some or all of the following:
Is this the correct name of the product?
What is its absorption optimum?
Who is the manufacturer?

Thank you in advance.

Yes. To-Pro-3 is the correct name.

The excitation maximum is 642 so it can be excited by a HeNe laser at 633
and its emission maximum is 661.

The manufacturer is Molecular Probes, Inc.
