3rd party software

Please forgive me if this question belongs in an FAQ. I am new to this
group and this is my first posting.

I am interested in the application of flow cytometry to investigate aspects
of sperm quality. Presently I am working on a Profile II but will also have
access to a Facstar Plus. Access to both machines is limited and I may have
to chop and change. I would like to be able to gather data from both
machines and reanalyze it at a later time. I am aware of Phoenix and
Verity. Any others I should consider? What do people think of the relative
merits or otherwise of 3rd party software? I should also add that we will
put the software on an IBM compatible machine. We could consider puting it
on the network - we use an Alpha (DEC) as our server, but we don't support
Mac (pity!). We also have researchers interested in cell cycle work who
would like access to 3rd party software.

Thanks in advance for your help.
