Coulter ESP

I would like to take an informal poll of all those labs using the Coulter ESP
for sorting. We had our upgrade installed a few months ago and have had very
few successful sorts since (fast or normal speed). I would like to know how
you like the ESP, how much sorting you do, how fast, how much time to set up
(minus sterilization), if you would like to rip out the ESP and slam it into
the nearest wall, if you are satisfied with it, if you have found any tricks to
getting it to work consistently and remain stable over time. If yes, what
types of drives, frequencies and pressures you are using, and any other gems of
info you would like to share. I understand that it takes time to "adjust" to
upgrades on your instrument, and that you cannot expect things to work
perfectly the first time, or even the second or third. But I am getting
extremely frustrated. Coulter sends the repair engineer, he gets it working
for a few hours, and then he leaves, and everything goes to hell in a
handbasket. The MOST frustrating thing about this whole problem is that I
KNOW it will work. If only...

Also, I would like to know if anyone has ever considered recharging the company
when an instrument fails and you have to schedule inordinant amounts of down
time for the repairs.

I appreciate any comments on these issues.
