at Zuerich describe making a flow cytometer for this. The abstract of the
second paper describes using a Europium chelate, and presumably where
they got it (I don't have the original to hand).

Anyone any other views on whether this is the way to go to get more
parameters per laser, and how to modify a commercial machine to do it?
