POSITION AVAILABLE: MEDICAL LABORATORY SPECIALIST in FLOW CYTOMETRY, UNC
HOSPITALS, CHAPEL HILL, NC, CLINICAL IMMUNOLOGY LABORATORY.
Responsibilities include coordination of clinical studies and evaluations;
performance of testing on a variety of patient populations (hematologic
and other malignancies, congenital immunodeficiencies, HIV and AIDS, solid
organ and bone marrow transplant); QA evaluations; protocol development;
method evaluation and implementation. The flow cytometry section utilizes
two BC FACSCANs and a FACSCOUNT. The laboratory supports the UNC Clinical
Pathology residency and Clinical Laboratory Sciences training program and
trains Clinical Immunology post doctoral fellows in a two year, CPEP
approved program.

We require an individual with a minimum of 3 years of clinical flow
cytometry experience, MT(ASCP) or SI(ASCP) certification is preferred.
Other combinations of education, experience and certification will be
considered. We are looking for individuals with proven technical and
leadership experience as well as demonstrated organizational and
