MFI version 3.4G has been made available via anonymous ftp at
flowcyt.bio.umass.edu in /pub/flowcyt/mfi. The tutorial has been revised
accordingly. This version of MFI needs much less memory. Otherwise, there
are no major enhancements, but many existing features were "polished" and
some bugs were fixed.

MFI is a free PC listmode data analysis program. Its specialty is
rapid batch-mode extraction of median fluorescence intensities, converted
from log to linear, corrected for control, and converted to MESF if desired.
It also allows rapid viewing of histograms and a scatter-gating dot plot,
and produces ASCII files of listmode or histogram data suitable for
publication quality plotting or import into spreadsheets. A more complete
overview of its capabilities is available as MFIINTRO.DOC at the
above-mentioned location.
