Cell Arrival Times

oes anyone have a reference to an article (or book chapter) which discusses the
distribution of cell arrival times at the sensing point in a flow cytometer?
This is needed for an article being written, and I would rather cite something
than "re-invent the wheel". Thanks in advance.
