We are starting to build a home brew, but fairly sophisticated multicolor
flow cytometer with the help of Howard Shapiro (Author of the Flow Cytometry
book and cytometrist extraordinaire). Has anyone out there constructed their
own flow cytometer, and if so what is your experience, problems, etc. We
are particularly curious to find out if anyone is using any of the older
versions of the "Cytomutt" described in Howard's book, but any comments would
be appreciated on other machines, especially argon laser air cooled ones.
