Fluidics - Laminar Flow
Whether flow will be laminar can be determined from the Reynolds number
When Re < 2300, flow is always laminar
When Re > 2300, flow can be turbulent

Fluidics - Laminar Flow
Since the concept of laminar flow is key to understanding the fluidics of a flow cytometer. The concept of Reynolds number is also introduced which dictates the conditions under which the flow will be laminar.
