dsRNA and ethanol fixation

Dear Flowers,

I have a colleague who is transfecting FITC-linked double-stranded
RNA (20 base pairs) into cells for flow analysis. His question is
whether ethanol fixation would effect the FITC signal either by
degrading the RNA or allowing it to leak out of the cell, and I'm not
sure.

Any help in this matter would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Yoav
