resolution of anuploid populations

Dear Cytometrists,

Does anyone know of a math formula that can be used to predict the limit
of resolution of an anuploid population that sets very near a more abundant
diploid population (i.e., a formula that would consider CVs, degree of anuploid,
	and percentage of anuploid).
It seems that there must be a simple formula that evaluates gaussian
distributions, their overlap, and resolution of one from another. Could a math
	wiz help me?

Thanks, Jeffrey
