Dear Flowers,

I want to thank everyone who responded to my question regarding the TUNEL
assay.
Many of the coments confirmed my own observations, with a few additional
things I will try.
The cell lines I am working with appear to stop DNA fragmentation at the
300-50kb sections.
Therefore, I have to aquire and analyze them on a linear scale, which
exaggerates any differences.
I have recently controlled the absolute number of cells per sample, but I
will also try to reduce
the stress on the cells (I tend to vortex cells to mix them).

I will also look into the "death detection kit", although I am somewhat
limited on assays to use
because the cells are already fixed.

Thanks again,

Shari Brezinsky
