Colleagues on the Cytometry List

So far 43 institutions have signed up for the Framework 6 expression of
interest for EU-Cytomics. Thank you all for logging in and suffering our
initiatial teething problems! Please let me know personally if you have any
problems. If you are interested in supporting this initiative, please go to
http://www.cyto.purdue.edu/
and click on the green button EUCytomics Initiative and sign up. You are
only signing up as an expression of interest. The deadline for this will be
June 4 since the information must be collated and submitted by June 6.
Please do this immediately.

As you know, this is the beginning of a longer process, but it is an excellent
start to begining some international co-operations between individuals and
institutes.

There are some other things brewing in the area of cytomics that you might
be interested in - we have created a web page that is at www.cytomics.info
that is the beginning of a general discussion and information page in the
area. Please note that this is a DOT INFO page --- you may not be so
familiar with this new designation. The page is somewhat static at the
moment, but it is my intention to let you know with occassional messages
from this small list if there is some new info there. You might pass this
address around to your colleagues.

If any of you have ideas or suggestions for adding to the Cytomics
Information Network, please let me know. We do intend on starting an
independent discussion at some time in the future on Cytomics. I hope that
it will include a broader range of interests to those currently in Cytometry.

Best regards
Paul Robinson
