ISAC Congress Notice Monday May 6, Workshop B - 8pm to 10 pm Science Education: Linking With Students at All Levels: Chair: J. Paul Robinson This workshop has three goals: 1. To identify needs in training and education and suggest mechanisms for implementation 2. To discuss new on-line learning opportunities in cytometry and related areas 3. Create an educational consortium for maintenance and distribution of scientifically useful educational materials This workshop will be designed to facilitate educational activities in ISAC and related societies. The goal is to ensure that the educational endeavors of individuals and institutions are highlighted and supported. During the workshop there will be opportunities to discuss the nature of different learning activities and learning styles. A goal will be to create the "Science Education Consortium" that will be a website section housed on the Purdue site dedicated to science education knowledge and information. Those wishing to participate or contribute to the site or its ideals are encouraged to attend. Opportunities for announcing and describign teaching activities and workshops will be available.
