Terry did indeed do just that. Can't remember how well it worked-(was new to FC then). He did not leave the Flow Cell in place as we had to cell sort -could not do that with the Flow Cell in place. The FSC pmt was worthwhile -as would be expected signals could be amplified over a wider dynamic range compared to the diode. regards Ann Terry Prospero put an Ortho Flow cell into the BD system and also added the additional PMT that was available for the FACSanalyzer as a forward scatter PMT in the late 1980's when he was in Heidelberg.
