murine memory markers

Dear Flowers,

I plan to perform flow analysis on murine spleen and lymph nodes
(immunophenotyping) and am specifically interested in quantifying the
proportion (& absolute numbers) of CD4+ memory T cells, as well as effector
(activated) CD4s and naive CD4s.

For naive cells, I am condidering using 3G11 in conjunction with
CD62L
For activated (memory + effector cells) I am considering using CD44
and CD62L.

What is the current consensus with regard to identifying memory (CD4+) T
cells?	Is CD45RB still used? What markers do you suggest I should use for
any of these populations (memory, effectors, naive)? Finally, which is the
more appropriate way to express this data: as percentages or as absolute
numbers (ie., per whole spleen, set of lymph nodes)?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
