Hi Christopher,

We are currently running CD79b/CD38/CD20, although we don't always report
it, but if you're getting requests maybe this is a good time to begin. The
CD79b is because we are also assessing its usefulness, but so far we're not
impressed. Theoretically its supposed to be absent in CLL, but we haven't
found that to be consistent.

yours, beth

Given the recent publication of another article documenting the association
of CD38 expression on CLL/SLL and a worse prognosis, our clinicians are
beginning to ask us to give CD38 results on a more frequent basis. Are other
labs performing this routinely in the evaluation of small B-cell
lymphoprolifertaive disorders and, if so, what are you running the CD38 in
combination with? Thanks in advance for any input.

Sincerely,
