Depends on your sheath and your bugs. You will always find some buggers growing
in there.  I always thought the threads you could get in sheath were of fungal
origin, but a lot of bugs will also form threads when growing under stress.

The best material you can look at is normally on the inlet side of your inline
sheath filter.
