A colleague is trying to look at cholesterol in cells using Filipin III. I have seen several papers describing it's excitation wavelength, but they are very vague on where it emits. They seem to say that it's possible to excite at 325, 355 and 488nm, but I've tried both UV and Argon Ion lasers and several filters varying from 420nm to 585nm, with no luck. Any information on this reagent would be appreciated. Gayle Thornbury Terry Fox Laboratory BC Cancer Research Center Vancouver, BC, CANADA V5Z 1L3
