Hi Doug,

Those'll be desktop printers, try using Find File (Sherlock) to find them by
name (or look for things on your desktop that have printer icons and names
to match the old printers), then dump them in the trash to get rid of them.

Time was you didn't need to delete printers on a mac at all (you used the
ones that the Chooser found at print time, if the one you were using last
time wasn't there any more, you'd have to choose another), but Apple must
have thought that permanent configuration/queue files like Windows uses were
pretty cool and decided to have a go at implementing them - no sarcasm here
either, they both do what they're meant to, kind of.
