AUSTRALASIAN FLOW CYTOMETRY GROUP
ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC MEETING
Monday 26 November - Wednesday 28 November, 2001
Carlton Crest Hotel, 65 Queens Road, Melbourne, Australia.

The AFCG invites all scientists, clinicians and commercial bodies with
an interest in flow cytometry to attend our Annual Scientific Meeting to
be held in Melbourne in November of this year. The meeting will consist
of oral and poster presentations as well as an exciting range of guest
speakers who will present the latest advances in life sciences. These
include Professor Ken Ghiggino from Melbourne University who will talk
on recent developments and applications of fluorescence; Dr Martin Pera
from the Monash Institute for Reproduction and Development will present
the latest on Embryonic Stem Cells; Dr Dominic Wall from the Centre for
Blood Therapies at Peter MacCallum Cancer Institute will present 'Cell
Sorters and cell therapies - risks and opportunities'; and Dr Dale
Godfrey from Monash Medical School will explain the function of NK T
cells in the immune response.
- Abstracts for both oral and poster presentations are welcome.
- Case study workshop on interesting/difficult immuno-phenotyping
- Student scholarship available
