One possibility is a defunct connection with the waste or sheath tank. Check
the status box to see if the settings are correct. If is says that the
sheath is empty or the waste is full then the wiring may have broken. You
can buy a new piece or bypass the interlock with a paperclip. Just one
possiblity but it happened to us about two weeks ago.

dear flow cytometrists

we have been experiencing a problem with our facs calibur recently. the
cytometer cannot
switch from the standby to ready mode. when attempting to acquire data, it
always
comes up withn a warning message " cytometer status not ready". we have
folowed the
trouble shooting guide, and and always ensure taht the machine is
pressurised, and all
connections are intact. what could be the cause of this problem? and how do
we solve it?

kind regards
danni
