Help with Win MDI

Hello,
I am interested in quantifying chemokine receptors on
lymphocytes. We have a BD FACScan attached to a HP
platform (HP 310 with consort 30). I was advised that
I could convert the files I save on the HP computer
into MSDOS with HPCOPY and to do the quantification
with WIN MDI 2.8. I have downloaded the software and
for starters tried to convert files I have saved with
the Simulset software (for CD4 counts). The files are
saved with extensions .001,.002 etc. I started off
with the first file and gated the lymphocytes, and
when I open the second file, it failed to open (saying
it is not in FCS1/FCS2 format). I am howwever able to
read all the files with an extension in odd numbers.
I tried to change the extensions of the files that end
in even numbers to odd numbers but am still unable to
read the files.

I have only tried to read files that I have saved with
Simulset. I have not yet done any quantitative
analysis, and would be obliged if you could guide me.
If there is any written matter anywhere, I would be
happy to read it.

With warm regards,

Sandeep.
