None of these antibodies is a true PAN NK antibody; some NK cell subsets will be missed. PK136 remains the only true pan-NK antibody as far as I know (with the qualification that it works only in certain strains) Zuhair K Ballas, M.D. -----Original Message----- From: mandy cromwell [mailto:mandy_cromwell@hms.harvard.edu] Sent: Wednesday, April 18, 2001 6:31 PM To: Cytometry Mailing List Subject: Re: Mouse NK1.1 cells in peripheral blood Rick, An antibody to NK1.1 isn't going to work on Balb/c mice-look at the mouse alloantigen chart on page 126-127 of the B-D Pharmingen catalog. Pharmingen has several pan-NK cell Abs that should do a better job. I'll be interested to hear whether anyone offers an explanation for your loss of CD3-PerCP signal! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mandy A.
