The Flow Cytometry Core Facility at The Scripps Research Institute
is seeking a new operator. The facility currently has 3 high-speed
sorters (Digital Vantage, Vantage SE, FACStar Plus TSO), 5 analyzers
(2 FACS Caliburs, FACSort, 2 FACScans), and a Laser Scanning Cytometer.
The position requires the ability to run any of the three aforementioned
sorters and that the operator be capable of assisting users that run
their own samples on the analyzers from time to time.

We are looking for someone with some experience in sorting, but a
skilled person in cytometry that has only done analysis would be
seriously considered for the position. This is not a position where we
want a post doc for only a year or two, we are looking for someone who
wants to focus on developing their skills as an operator. The diverse
research environment here at TSRI is an excellent venue for this
purpose, and the wide range of experiments performed in our facility
present many challenges and requires an operator to have both
interpersonal and technical skills.

For more information and the complete posting of the opportunity,
contact Melissa Evans (mevans@scripps.edu) in Human Resources, or Alan
Saluk (asaluk@scripps.edu) for more information about the facility.
