centrifugation for leukemia/lymphoma

I would like the flow cytometry expert's opinion on what is the industry standard for
speed of centrifugation of leukemia/lymphoma samples during washing steps. There has
been some debate at our institution as to whether we could use sero-fuges (~500 x g) as
some flow labs do, or stick with the MMWR and vendor guidelines of spinning samples at
<400 x g for 3-5 minutes. Have there been any new studies to determine if sero-fuges
are acceptable? What is the danger of spinning washes too fast - aggregates? The
sero-fuges would save us time, but we don't want to compromise quality if there is a
known problem with spinning too fast.
Thank you,
