Hello, I have not worked with MS patients, but I assume an age-matched healthy person would be the control. Fro Bcl-2, permeabiliztion is easily done with saponin (the BD perm/buffer), but for FasL, I tried without success to detect it by flow cytometry. I used a metalloproteinase, to keep FasL from being cleaved off the membrane adn didn't see any expression (in mouse NK cells). Good luck with it.
