Genomics position open

The University of Chicago has an opening for a research scientist in our
Functional Genomics Facility, supported by the NIH and the University of
Chicago Cancer Research Center. This core facility contains
state-of-the-art equipment for gene profiling, including an Affymetrix
GeneChip Instrument System, Beckman Biomek 2000 robot, GeneMachines and
Genetic Microsystem arrayers, Axon and Genomic Solutions microarray
scanners, ABI, MJ Research and Cepheid PCR and real-time PCR equipment.
The individual would be responsible for the operations of this core
facility, including interacting with the University users. Close
collaborations with the Department of Computer Science at the University of
Chicago exist; as such, good computer skills are essential. Candidates
with PhD degrees are preferred, although exceptional individuals with MS
degrees will be considered. Salary and benefits are competitive.
