Co-sponsors:
International Society of Analytical Cytology
Josephine Ford Cancer Center, Henry Ford Health System

Date: May 2-4, 2001
Place: Holiday Inn/Hotel St. Regis, Detroit, Michigan, USA

Dear Colleagues:
As Chair, I warmly welcome you to attend the 3rd Samuel A. Latt Symposium of the
International Society for Analytical Cytology (ISAC) that is devoted to an important
and timely
topic of interest to the membership of ISAC.

The scientific program below, includes an impressive array of outstanding invited
speakers who
will be presenting updates of progress in the technologies of genomics, proteomics and
bioinformatics and its applications in oncology; including, the molecular classification
of tumors,
oncopharmacogenetics/molecular epidemiology and anticancer drug development.

This meeting presents a unique opportunity to continue the dialogue started at ISAC XX in
Montpellier, France; namely, exploring possible interrelationships between the remarkable
progress in microarray technologies (as applied in oncology) and the expertise of
analytical
cytology in quantitating fluorescent markers at the single cell level, with the focus
on the human
tumor cell. The meeting organization ensures that generous periods of time will be
available for
active discussion and networking within a pleasant social context.

The generous participation of numerous corporations actively involved in genomics,
proteomics,
bioinformatics and oncology presents registrants with access to the latest literature and
expertise in this area.

A discounted registration for ISAC members of $250 is meant to encourage your
participation, in
addition to a discounted room rate of $89US (single or double occupancy) at the
renovated,
European-style Holiday Inn/Hotel St. Regis.

To encourage the participation of those members that are physicians and medical fellows,
Continued Medical Education (CME) credits are being generously offered by the Henry Ford
Health System which designates this educational activity for a maximum of 22.0 hours in
Category 1 credit towards the AMA Physician's Recognition Award.

The meeting web site at: www.samlatt.org contains more detailed travel, meeting and
registration information. Please don't hesitate to contact me personally should you
have any
specific questions or requests.

Finally, as Chair and a fellow ISAC member, I warmly welcome you to attend and personally
look forward to meeting you in Motown, USA!
