Hello to all, in recent experiments in two different mice strains we were analyzing the induction of platelet-leukocyte aggregates as a function of platelet activation based on staining with CD41 and CD45. Interestingly, a strong rise in binding of CD45-PE/Cy5 was associated with platelet activation independent of the low number of platelet-leukocyte aggregates although CD45 at least in human is considered not to be expressed in platelets. Looking through the literature, a cross-reactivity of CD45RA-antibodies with an intracellular antigen in murine platelets has been published. My question, therefore, is whether anyone observed a similar reactivity of CD45 clones with murine platelets or can provide addtional data proving real expression or an artefact. Regards, Gregor Rothe
