For flow,
CD69 is the first thing to try, and it's neat b/c it can be done on
specific cell populations (ex. 19/69/45, 4/69/45, 56/69/45 etc...)

The whole test including incubation, acquisition and analysis takes
about 6 hours.

Cytokines take a wile longer especially in Lymphocytes. These also
can be divided into specific cell populations, as long as your
activation doesn't induce shedding of CD's (as in.. don't use LPS and
CD4 or 14)

Long term activation and proliferation can be also assayed using
Tritium labeled thymidine uptake.

Regards,

Maciej
