The Biologics team has an interest in development of functional food
products from milk.  We are seeking a scientist to develop and conduct a
fundamental research programme to elucidate the mechanisms governing the
production of immunoglobulin in ruminant milk.

You will be joining AgResearch, New Zealand's leading pastoral agricultural
research company. With annual revenues of NZ100 million and over 1300
professional staff, AgResearch is looking to position itself as a global
life sciences business, which will grow and add value to New Zealand
industries.

You will need a PhD or equivalent qualification plus significant experience
in mucosal immunology and the techniques required for its study.  You must
be able to provide leadership and direction for basic science, but also have
an understanding of product development.

The position offers an outstanding opportunity to join one of the leading
science research organisations in New Zealand. The Hamilton campus, situated
in pleasant rural surroundings at the heart of the Waikato, New Zealand's
main dairy farming area, is close to a expanding university city of 80,000.
The campus has creche facilities, free parking, and active social and
sporting activities. Hamilton is within easy reach of Auckland City and a
wide range of unspoilt national parks, lakes, rivers and beach resorts.

The position is available for one year in the first instance.
