I doubt if there is an intrinsic difference in FSC
discrimination between these models, but there are many
things that affect the performance of each individual
instrument.

The most obvious is simply the alignment of each machine!
I've seen significant differences on the one sorter,
depending on who set it up and how rushed they were.
I now align a FACStar Plus almost every day, and I can
detect small differences day to day!

Other things are the choice of filter(s) in the FSC path and
the setting of the obscuration bar, and these will depend on
the configuration of each instrument.

Try tweaking it, you'll probably be surprised!~)

Good Luck, Joseph.
