The Cytometry Laboratory at The Walter & Eliza Hall Institute of
Medical Research needs a cytometrist for a 12 month stint beginning
ASAP.
The person we're looking for will have had some experience in flow
cytometry, cell sorting or confocal microscopy (but not necessarily
all of those).
Briefly described, the duties will be the operation of cell sorters
(2-laser FACS II, 2-laser FACStar+, 3-beam MoFlo) and confocal
microscope (Leica TCS 4D) and assisting DIY FACScan users with data
acquisition and interpretation. On the job training will be provided
as needed.
This position will be more suitable for someone already in Australia
(if not already in Melbourne) because we would like them to start very
soon.
