Deb:
Is there a specific reason your colleague wants to use sepaharose beads? It seems to me there are easier ways of assaying the binding of a fluorescent protein to an antibody. Why not just use polystyrene or latex beads coated with your antibody. You can either coat them yourselves (which is a little tricky if you have never done it before) or contract it out. Microparticle manufacturers, such as Spherotech, Inc. www.spherotech.com have the products you need to do this. I think this would be a lot kinder to your Scan and your sanity.
