Thanks for all your responses.
Here's a summary:

reagents people use (no special order here) (exerpts copied and pasted)

1. UIC2 (PE) of Immunotech (Cat. N IM2370) and BD PGP (Cat N 340555)
2. "Recently Immunoquality producs develop a line of products of drug
resistence and include antibodies to MDR, LRP and MRP."
3. Kamiya brand: "We have found MRK16 to give the highest level of
fluorescence of all the commercially available anti-P-glycoprotein
    mAbs that we have tried."
4. "Use the 4E3 antibody from Signet it stains a similar epitope as MRK-16,
they are both external epitopes and very reliable the cat# is 8745-01
and comes already conjugated to FITC. The company also sells a negative
control antibody also conjugated to FITC Cat # 8746-01. 4E3 does not cross
    react with MDR3 gene product"
5. "we have used the BD stain - it does NOT work. Neither does the Coulter
    one. "
