Hi Gaffin, Answering your question, I think that Flow Cytometry has some advantages as far as Immunological point of view in research because we can simultaneously analyze the cytokine and the cell phenotype responsible for the cytokine production. By ELISA we can not do that. Although, the major gain of using ELISA was to quantify the cytokines, recently I have found a very intersting paper in the JIM 227 (1999) 41-52 about a multiplexed flow cytometry assay to quantify cytokines. Therefore, for me, there is no doubt that flow is now the best recommended method for cytokine analysis. good luck, olindo
