Analysis Software for Linux?

I searched through the mailing list archives and the major flow cytometry
software repositories to no avail (Scripps, Salk Institute, UMass
Amherst). Are there any software packages (preferably open source) that
do listmode analysis in Linux? Aside from a few generic Unix utilites,
the only piece of software I found that resembled something like WinMDI
was Sundisplay3, listed at http://pingu.salk.edu/software.html, for which
only the SunOS 4.1.3 binary was available. I know that Tree Star is beta
testing a Java-based Linux version, but all Java applications have tended
to be unstable for me in the past.

The reason I'm looking for an alternative to WinMDI is that Windows has a
tendency to run out of various stack memories (mostly GDI) when one loads
more than a few windows of listmode data at a time. This is quite
problematic when we've tried to analyze three-color data from kinetic
experiments that might involve 120+ samples, for example. Furthermore,
WinMDI's file dialogue is still the legacy one from Win 3.x, making it
difficult to work with long file names.

							Ryan.
