Tony,

Thanks for the warning. We do test & titer all antibodies before use in
experiments - for that very reason. Some of the "human" reagents do have
that very problem - typically we have been using dilutions in the 1:50
range. The CD4 and CD8 reagents are the only two so far that can be used at
higher dilutions (regardless of fluorophore). I do appreciate the note in
regards to the difference between NHP and human reagents that appear to be
the same in the catalog. At least now I know why there is a difference in
price.

Sincerely,
Doug Reed

Hi Doug -

re the x-reactives posting on the purdue bulletin board. - as an FYI and
potential note of caution - for some clones what you say is true -
however, the reciprocal is also true in some cases.

These products are QC'd and titered for optimal performance on NHP, and
can have more mab to ensure optimal resolution. I expect that for well
separated clusters it may not be a problem - but you may loose some dim
events if you're using human concentrations.
