Dear Sathi

You cannot use APC on the Epics XL. APC requires a red laser source which
the XL does not have. Standard set-up of the XL allows use of FITC, PE,
PE-Texas Red (ECD)and Pe-Cy5 in that order. There are a number of companies
now selling Pe-Texas Red conjugated antibodies.

Subject: APC-conjugated antibodies

I like to do a 4 color-analysis on Coulter-Epics/XL for lymphocytes. For
one of the marker, I have an APC-conjugates antibody. Could any one tell
me the emission/excitations spectrum for APC-fluorochrome and which channel
should I use for APC on Coulter Epics/XL cytometer. I will be using FITC
and PE for other channels and the info would help me to choose the fourth
color (ECD or PC-5).

I would appreciate any helpful comments.

Thanks
Sathi
