Greetings Dee,
I asked a collegue about this and he says;

'There are many cell lines with erythroid properties, you could try;
TF-1 (Driven with EPO haemoglobinise)
K562 (Diferentiated)
32D-EPO (murine)
HCD575 (EPO dependent)'

Isolation of retics is a bit out of my field, but I am sure that an online
search would prove useful
As for the 'Flowers' thing; I'm afraid it's a deadly secret......
