One of our cytokines was obtained lyophilised with trehalose as a cryopreservative, it was only after several months of work that we discovered that trehalose alone caused a degree of CD11b upregulation in these cells. I wonder how many studies have controlled for this? best wishes Arnold _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ Arnold Richard Pizzey Department of Haematology Royal Free and University College London Medical School 98 Chenies Mews London WC1E 6HX U.K voice: +44 0207-209-6234 Fax: +44 0207-209-6222 email: a.pizzey@ucl.ac.uk _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/
