We do this quite often and it is very routine, just like on a cell line. The CV's we get with PI are not perfect, usually 6-8 but the distribution and linearity are very good. The cells are very bright and voltages can be set with CEN etc. Brian Newsom Director, Flow Cytometry Center for Cell and Gene Therapy Baylor College of Medicine -----Original Message----- From: Diane M Sharp [mailto:Diane.M.Sharp@dupontpharma.com] Sent: Tuesday, January 18, 2000 10:41 AM To: cyto-inbox Subject: Hello all, I have recently been asked to run cell cycle on yeast. I have run endless samples for cell cycle on tumor lines, but never on yeast. I will be using propidium iodide. Is this a difficult assay? I would appreciate any comments from folks who have already run this type of sample. Thanks in advance for your help! Diane Sharp DuPont Pharmaceuticals Glenolden, PA
