fixation and preservation of structure.

Could anyone help me out with fixatives?
I would like to fix platelets to produce a non reactive "protein bag".
However, I need to not only be able to antibody label these platelets. I
would like the Fc/FcR interactions to be functional.

Using PFA isn't going to work as it alters protein structure, so ab doesn't
bind to platelets pre-fixed. Therefore a reduction in fc/fcr interaction
cannot be attributed to loss of membrane protein interactions.

Anyone with any bright ideas??

Craig Turner.
