Hi all, we recently received a human carcinoma cell line from a different lab. In addition to the adherent cells there is a non-adherent celltype which can be cultured independently. These floaters are CD20 positive, the adherent cells are negative. Now the question: how specific is CD20 for B-cells, has anyone seen a similiar thing or do we have to suspect that they sent us a contaminated cell line? Could it be that a more malignant phenotype expresses CD20? Thanks in advance Jan Mueller-Berghaus University of Pittsburgh
