On Thu, 28 Oct 1999, Van Bockstaele, Dirk noted his responses to
 his questions on sorters.....

I am also interested in these data as I am currently looking for a
new sorter. Would it be possible to have a look at the data?
Best regards
Paul Robinson

         To Whom It May Concern,
I sort almost daily on a BCoulter Altra High Speed Sorter.
We have had it for about a year. We have had lots of success
with it. It has very stable drop delay and side streams.
I have sorted at 32000 events per second with a
resultant purity of 95%+. If I sort below 30000 events/sec
we usually get a purity of over 98%.
We have an Autoclone that is fairly easy to use
and a gated amp for multi-laser sorts. I have not used the gated
amp very much yet. We are very happy with the Altra.
