We did in fact use Netscape calendar for a while. In fact our Office for
Technology has a dedicated server available to all faculty at the
university for running Netscape calendar. However, we moved away from this
because it did not have some features that we wanted and there are some
problems with Netscape Calendar with MACs (these may be resolved since we
left). We find the calendar we now use to be faster and configured for our
specific needs. I should note that you should use IE 4.0 or 5.0 to run the
calendars as Netscape is notoriously slow in running nested tables which
are used in this software. The difference is striking (compared Netscape
6.0 to IE5.0).
