How about upgrading to MacOS 9.0? Then you can use voice print login for
your users (a new feature of OS 9, similar to the user login when you boot
up Win95 or 98, only voice prints can be used instead of normal passwords),
and it saves the desired desktop configuration for each user. You can also
use the more conventional passwords, by why?!!
