     Greetings...

I am posting this announcement to the group as a favor to a colleague
of mine. I have seem similar notices for donations of used equipment
being posted, but not exactly like this, so I hope I do not overstep
the rules of the discussion group.

     Subject: Note from Glen Carey

     Hi All,
As some of you know I spent the last two weeks of July in Cameroon,
Africa working with a team of volunteers (I paid all my own travel
expenses, etc.) to build a small medical clinic for a missionary
group. The medical clinic is located in the small village of
Mformakak, just north of the capital city of Yaounde. The clinic is
built with 3 different (19 member) teams, each working for two weeks.
I was a member of the middle team. When we got there they had the
cement floor and support pillars complete and all rough in plumbing in
the floors. The team I worked with finished the building up to the
point of painting and trim. The final team will complete the project
     on August 20th.
The clinic will be operated by a missionary doctor, Dr. Carol
Loescher, a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina and
licensed by that state's Medical Board. She is also a member of the
American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Presently she has two
     missionary nurses resident in Cameroon.
All of the lab equipment for the clinic is used equipment that has
been donated by hospitals or private companies. I had never met Dr.
Loescher before going to Africa and she did not know I had any
connections with medical equipment. In discussions with her about her
needs she mentioned that she really could use a Cell Counter. I then
told her that perhaps I could help her find one. This is where I'm
hoping one of you could help. If any of you have contact with
someone who would be willing to make a charitable contribution of a
"usable Cell Counter" to this medical clinic that would be great. If
you know of some source I could provide them with all the information
     needed for tax deduction, etc.
If you know of any other used lab equipment or supplies that might
be available and useful for this small clinic I'm sure they would be
     grateful.

     Thanks for your consideration,

     Sincerely,
     Glen Carey
