Greetings to all: Aug.25,99
                                                           10:45 pm

I would like to know if anyone has any kind of knowledge or experience in
the following two topics:

1.Niles Red Beads (NRB) used for FACS vanatge instrument alignment.
are those beads better or same as beads from DNA QC kit 2u beads).

2. which beads would you think is efficient enough to be used for the
initial instrument alignment NRB or 2u beads from the DNA QC?

3. Providing that the instrument is perfectly aligned, is there any
correlation with the low events/second (sheath pressure set at 10psi,sample
diff. pres. set at 0.9 to 1.0)?

Many thanks to all of you for your help.
Allen Shahin
